Job Description
Job Responsibilities Fabricate commercial and residential HVAC ductwork and sheet metal fittings. Operate a CNC plasma cutting table for accurate production of sheet metal components. Read and interpret HVAC plans, shop drawings, and fabrication layouts. Measure, lay out, cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal. Fabricate ductwork, transitions, offsets, elbows, plenums, curbs, and other HVAC components. Install ductwork and sheet metal components on commercial jobsites. Safely use lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment commonly used on commercial construction sites. Work alongside HVAC installers, project managers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently. Verify measurements and dimensions to ensure accurate fabrication and installation. Operate sheet metal equipment including brakes, shears, plasma equipment, and other fabrication tools. Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication area and jobsite. Identify fabrication or installation issues and make adjustments when necessary. Follow project specifications, company procedures, and jobsite safety requirements. Complete work in a professional and timely manner while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
