Small and growing fast. At this size you won't get locked into one narrow task. You'll see the whole operation: laser, press brake, welding, assembly, vendors, customers. You'll take customer CAD files and technical drawings, figure out how to actually build them on our equipment, and own the process from quote through production. Day-to-day Interpret SolidWorks files and technical drawings, assess feasibility against our equipment and timelines Create manufacturing routings in JobBOSS² (our ERP): which machine, in what order, how long Work to build accurate estimates and communicate timelines to customers Troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the floor. Help the shift teams work through problems when something doesn't fit, bend right, or weld clean Collaborate with floor managers and operators to validate routings and catch setup issues before they become scrap Track process improvements and document what works You should have Solid understanding of sheet metal processes: laser cutting, press brake bending, welding, assembly, finishing (plating, paint, powder coat) Comfortable reading and working in SolidWorks Real fabrication or manufacturing engineering experience, not just CAD Ability to think through constraints: material thickness limits, bend radii, tooling availability Communication skills. You'll work with floor staff, quoting, and customers At a small shop that's scaling, you'll gain exposure across the entire operation. Not just one process or station. You'll see how your routing decisions actually play out on the floor, learn what works and what doesn't, and build skills across the whole fabrication spectrum.
