Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies using a variety of fabrication techniques and advanced machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet rigorous quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Duties Operate and set up various fabrication machinery including press brake machines, cutters, to produce accurate sheet metal parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication processes. Program CNC equipment for precise cutting, forming, and machining operations utilizing CAD/CAM software. Measure finished components using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform welding and assembly tasks using appropriate hand tools and welding techniques to join metal parts securely. Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments by following safety protocols, operating machinery correctly, and maintaining a clean workspace. Requirements Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication with proficiency in machine operation including press brakes, sheet metal cutter, and forming machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining processes. Familiarity with CNC programming and setup procedures for various fabrication equipment. Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly processes related to sheet metal components. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurements, calculations, and tolerances in manufacturing tasks. Understanding of safety standards in production environments along with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
