Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Solar Installation & Service Manager to lead our solar project teams through every phase of installation and ongoing service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee large-scale electrical projects, ensure compliance with electrical codes, and deliver exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction and electrical experience, and a passion for renewable energy solutions. As a key driver of project success, you will coordinate multiple teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety standards are met while fostering a collaborative work environment. Duties Lead and manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of solar installation projects from permitting through commissioning. Oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and safety protocols. Review construction drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to verify accuracy and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. Manage project contracts, change orders, and procurement processes to optimize cost control and resource allocation. Ensure all electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with electrical building codes and NFPA 70 standards. Collaborate with permitting authorities during the permitting phase; ensure all necessary permits are obtained efficiently. Conduct construction drawing reviews and system design assessments to guarantee quality and compliance. Lead project team members by providing clear direction, managing performance, and fostering a safety-first culture on-site. Utilize ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction management tools for documentation, reporting, and communication. Oversee electrical blueprint reading and schematic interpretation to troubleshoot issues proactively during installation. Manage project budgets by tracking costs against estimates; implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish. Experience Proven experience managing large-scale electrical or solar installation projects within the construction industry. Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to solar systems, including system design and electrical blueprint reading. Familiarity with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools is essential. Strong background in construction management practices including scheduling, cost management, contract administration, and site supervision. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards on construction sites. Hands-on experience with electrical building codes (NEC), NFPA 70 compliance requirements, permitting processes, and system schematics review. Skilled in using project management software like ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation and collaboration purposes. Knowledge of managing permits during the permitting phase involving local authorities; understanding of NFPA 70 compliance is crucial. Electrical engineering background or related technical training preferred; experience managing electrical projects involving complex systems is highly valued. Pay:
$25.62 - $30.85 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
