Responsibilities Install photovoltaic solar systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise system assembly and wiring. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment safely to complete installations efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools to identify faults in low voltage and high voltage circuits. Connect electrical components in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and NFPA 70 compliance guidelines. Perform fixture installation, wiring, grounding, and testing of photovoltaic systems to guarantee optimal performance. Adhere strictly to electrical safety procedures during all phases of installation and maintenance work. Conduct quality inspections and ensure all work meets industry standards for electrical safety and system reliability. Collaborate with team members on construction sites, maintaining a clean and organized workspace while managing multiple tasks effectively. Assist with system commissioning, troubleshooting issues that arise during or after installation, ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience Proven experience working as a solar technician or in electrical installation roles within the renewable energy sector. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to photovoltaic systems. Construction site experience with outdoor work environments, roofing projects, and outdoor safety protocols. Knowledge of NEC standards, NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and electrical safety procedures is essential. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment safely and effectively. Experience with photovoltaic system installation on various structures is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced outdoor settings while maintaining attention to detail.
