Job Overview We are seeking the following: Lead Tile Setter - 5+ Years Experience (Stone, Tile & Schluter Systems) General contractor serving Southern California, is seeking an experienced Lead Tile Setter with a proven track record in high‑quality residential and commercial installations. Position Overview We are looking for a skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years of lead tile‑setting experience , strong knowledge of stone and tile applications, and expertise in Schluter System installations . This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the General Contractors standards of quality and professionalism. Because this role is in the construction industry, hours may fluctuate weekly form 24 hrs-40 hrs. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute tile and stone installations for bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, and specialty projects Install waterproofing and shower systems using Schluter products Perform mortar bed installations with accuracy and proper slope Read and interpret plans, layouts, and specifications Ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety, and organization Communicate effectively with project managers, homeowners, and team members Maintain high‑quality workmanship and attention to detail Minimum Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Lead Tile Setter Proven experience with stone, tile, Schluter System installations, and mortar bed applications Ability to provide a worksite for evaluation of installation skills Must submit photos of past work demonstrating craftsmanship and range Willing to travel within Southern California, reliable transportation, must have own tools, and punctuality Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently Professional communication and customer‑service mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience in residential remodels and insurance restoration projects Knowledge of modern waterproofing standards and building codes Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
