In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute tile installation projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives for optimal tile adhesion. Install a variety of flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, carpets, and drywall finishes with attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and lay tiles according to project specifications. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sealing, caulking, and water damage restoration to ensure durable finishes. Follow building installation safety compliance protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, cabinetry, trim carpentry elements, and performing general handyman tasks as needed. Skills Extensive experience in flooring installation including tile laying, epoxy floors, vinyl floors, hardwoods, carpets, and drywall finishing. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and material procurement. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws; power tools including drills and wet saws; and other construction equipment. Skilled in construction site safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards during all phases of work. Experience in water damage restoration and floor care techniques for maintaining high-quality finishes over time. Knowledge of building material installation methods including caulking, fixture installation, cabinet mounting, drywall finishing, and remodeling techniques. Familiarity with schematics related to electrical fixtures or plumbing systems when necessary for comprehensive project execution. Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely while maintaining productivity on busy construction sites.
