Roof Bear is looking for an experienced gutter installer or two-person gutter crew to handle gutter, fascia, fascia wrap, and soffit work on our roofing projects throughout Central Florida. This is NOT a training position. We need someone who already knows the trade and can take a job from start to finish without someone standing over them. Roof Bear currently sells approximately 20-25 roofs every week , and many of those customers also purchase gutters, fascia, and soffit work. That means steady work and lots of opportunity for the right person or crew.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Roof Bear completes the roofing project first. Once the roof is complete, you will return to perform the gutter and related exterior work.
Typical work includes:
Seamless gutter installation
Gutter removal and replacement
Downspout installation
Gutter machine operation
Measuring and planning gutter runs
Fascia wood removal and replacement
Rotted fascia repair
Aluminum fascia wrap
Soffit removal and replacement
Aluminum soffit installation
Vinyl soffit installation when applicable
Repairs around gutters, fascia and soffits
Identifying additional materials needed to complete the job properly
Picking up necessary job materials
Maintaining a clean, professional jobsite
Final cleanup and customer walkthrough when necessary If it involves the gutters, fascia or soffit around one of our roofing projects , we want our gutter team capable of handling it.
YOU MUST ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS WORK
We do not have a trainer for this position. You must be capable of receiving the job information, reviewing the scope, planning the work, getting the required materials and completing the installation professionally. You should already know how to:
Operate a seamless gutter machine
Accurately measure gutter runs
Fabricate gutters on site
Properly pitch and install gutters
Determine downspout locations
Install and replace fascia wood
Install fascia wrap
Install and repair soffit
Recognize rotten or damaged wood
Determine what materials are required
Solve normal field problems without needing constant supervision
Complete work that looks professional when you leave If you need someone to teach you how to install gutters, fascia or soffit, this is not the position for you.
PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR A TWO-PERSON TEAM
This position could be ideal for an established Lead Installer + Helper or two experienced installers who already work together. We pay piecework by the job. If you're a two-person team, you can divide the piecework compensation between yourselves however you choose. We provide the volume. You provide the craftsmanship.
COMPANY TRUCK, GUTTER MACHINE & TRAILER PROVIDED
Roof Bear provides the:
Company vehicle
Gutter machine
Gutter trailer The truck, machine and trailer are kept at our Clearwater/Largo office.
IMPORTANT
You must be able to report to our office every workday, pick up the company vehicle/equipment, and return it to the office at the end of the day. For that reason, living reasonably close to Clearwater/Largo is strongly preferred. Roof Bear 4091 AMTC Center Dr. Clearwater, FL
YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE
Our roofing projects are located throughout Central Florida. Some days you'll be working close to the office. Other days you may have a longer drive. Driving cannot be an issue for you. If the job is there, we need our crew willing and able to go complete it.
COMPENSATION PIECEWORK - PAID PER COMPLETED JOB
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to make money based on production rather than watching a clock. Roof Bear is currently selling approximately 20-25 roofs per week , with many of those customers purchasing gutter, fascia and/or soffit work. We aren't looking for someone and then hoping we can find enough work to keep them busy. We already have the roofing volume. We need the right gutter team to take care of it.
WHAT WE EXPECTEXPERIENCE
You must have prior professional experience installing gutters, fascia and soffit. QUALITY We expect professional-quality work. Crooked gutters, poor seams, bad pitch, sloppy fascia wrap and unfinished details are unacceptable.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
These are Roof Bear customers. You are representing our company while you're at their home. Professionalism, communication, cleanliness and respect for the customer's property are mandatory.
RELIABILITY
When a job is scheduled, we expect you to be there.
OWNERSHIP
If you see a problem, communicate it. If something needs to be corrected, address it. We want people who take responsibility for the finished product.
CLEANLINESS
The property should look better when you leave than when you arrived.
THE PERSON WE WANT
We're looking for someone who can be handed a gutter/fascia/soffit job and say: "I've got it." Then you: Measure it. Plan it. Get the materials. Build it. Install it. Clean it up. Make the customer happy. No babysitting. No excuses. Just professional work.
WHY ROOF BEAR?
The biggest problem many good installers have isn't their ability to do the work. It's finding enough work. We're already selling the roofs. We're already generating the customers. We're already providing the company vehicle, gutter machine and trailer. We need someone who can execute. With approximately 20-25 new roofing sales every week , there is significant opportunity for a productive gutter installer or two-person team.
APPLY IF THIS IS YOU
If you are an experienced gutter installer who can also professionally handle fascia wood, fascia wrap and soffit , we want to talk to you. When applying, please tell us:
How many years of gutter experience you have
Your experience with fascia and soffit
Whether you are applying individually or as a two-person team
