Job Description

Company Overview ReNewIt by Kurtis, a division of Kurtis Kitchen and Bath, is growing and we're looking for installers for our one-day bath program. A third-generation company with over 55 years of experience, we're looking for installers who are looking to join a fast-growing company. Overview The One-Day Bath Installer turns a dated bathroom into a finished, watertight remodel in a single visit — tear-out, install, and clean-up before the homeowner's day ends. You'll install acrylic tub and shower systems, wall surrounds, bases, and accessories in occupied homes, working as the face of the company in the customer's house. Duties Prep and protect the home. Lay floor and path protection, set up dust control, and confirm the scope, product, and color with the homeowner before work starts. Tear-out. Remove existing tubs, shower pans, tile, surrounds, and fixtures safely and haul debris to the truck. Prep the substrate. Inspect walls, studs, and subfloor; repair minor damage; flag rot or structural issues. Plumbing trim and drains. Install drains, valves, shower heads, and tub spouts; make supply and drain connections within the scope of a plumbing license where required. Install the system. Measure, cut, and set acrylic bases, tubs, and wall panels; install trim, doors, rods, grab bars, shelves, and seats to manufacturer specs. Seal and test. Caulk and seal every joint, leak-test all connections, and verify doors and fixtures operate correctly. Clean up and walk through. Leave the space broom-clean, walk the homeowner through care and warranty, and collect sign-off. Document the job. Take before/after photos, complete the job checklist in the field app, and report change orders or extra work. Maintain tools and vehicle. Keep the truck stocked, organized, and road-ready. Qualifications Required 2+ years of bathroom remodeling, plumbing, or general construction experience Working knowledge of drain, waste, and supply plumbing (PEX, copper, PVC) Comfortable with power tools, measuring, and precise cuts Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Able to pass a background check and drug screen Professional, respectful manner in customers' homes Preferred Prior acrylic bath system experience Michigan plumbing license, or willingness to work toward one Experience with tile tear-out and subfloor repair Basic carpentry and drywall skills Physical requirements and work environment Lift and carry up to 75 lbs Kneel, bend, crouch, and work in tight bathroom spaces for long periods Climb stairs repeatedly while carrying materials and debris Work in occupied homes, sometimes with pets, older homeowners, or children present Days start early and run until the job is complete — typically 8 to 10 hours
