SUMMARY:
Maintain sanitary and attractive surroundings, provide excellent customer service, and comply with safety/regulatory guidelines. Comply with OSHA and MSDS practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; handle trash and waste disposal in compliance with standards. Maintain floors and carpets through stripping, waxing, and shampooing; ensure walkways are safe and accessible. Provide responsive assistance to patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction. Adhere to OSHA and MSDS safety practices while working collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.

6 Months industrial/ institutional cleaning experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Heavy - This category includes physically intensive work such as lifting heavy materials (up to 100 lbs.), climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and working on uneven, slippery, or elevated surfaces. Employees must demonstrate strong motor coordination, balance, and spatial awareness to safely operate tools and equipment. High visual and auditory alertness is required, especially in areas with moving machinery. Emotional demands are moderate, focusing on hazard recognition, task accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Environmental exposures may include extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise, and mechanical hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and periodic physical examinations are often required. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
PAY RANGE
$18.46 - $26.24 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. Rochester Regional Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
