MGMT Residential seeks a Tile Technician to join its growing team. The Tile Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing tile surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of various tiling materials and installation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation.
Cut, shape, and lay ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, or mosaic tiles.
Mix and apply adhesives, mortar, and grout.
Ensure tiles are level, aligned, and evenly spaced.
Repair or replace damaged tiles and grout.
Seal tile surfaces when required.
Read blueprints and follow project specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Operate and maintain tile-cutting tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of professional tile installation experience
Proven experience installing ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and natural stone tile
Skilled in floor, wall, backsplash, shower, and custom tile installations
Ability to prepare surfaces, including leveling, waterproofing, and substrate installation
Experienced with thin-set, mortar, grout, sealants, and adhesive applications
Proficient in tile cutting, measuring, layout planning, and pattern alignment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Experience using tile saws, grinders, drills, and other tile installation tools
Knowledge of industry standards for waterproofing and tile installation methods
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and perform tile repairs
Must be able to work independently and complete projects on schedule
Strong communication skills and professional interaction with customers and contractors
Ability to maintain a clean and safe job site
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check

Ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and natural stone tile installation
Floor and wall tile installation
Tile cutting, shaping, and fitting using wet saws and hand tools
Surface preparation and substrate leveling
Mortar, thin-set, grout, and adhesive application
Grouting, sealing, and waterproofing techniques
Tile layout planning and pattern alignment
Measuring, estimating, and material calculations
Repairing cracked, chipped, or damaged tile
Bathroom, kitchen, backsplash, and flooring installations
