Full Job Description Summary:
The Town of Webster is seeking several candidates to serve on the Board of Assessment Review. The Board of Assessment is a seasonal position which will begin in May 2027 through the end of the June 2027. Members assist in the grievance process by attending scheduled review sessions, hearing resident appeals, evaluating supporting documentation, participating in deliberations, recording individual votes, and upholding confidentiality in accordance with New York State laws. Terms are available from one year to five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism. Strong attention to detail and ability to review information objectively and swiftly. Excellent listening and communication skills. Members shall have a knowledge of property values in the local government.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Must be a Town of Webster (New York) resident.
Special Requirements:
Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug test.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
