We are especially seeking individuals with experience or a strong passion for fundraising and development, marketing and public relations, finance/accounting, or business and corporate partnerships. Board Member Responsibilities Actively support the mission and vision of Helping Hands Homeless Shelter Participate in regular Board meetings and strategic planning Help develop fundraising strategies and identify funding opportunities Make introductions to potential donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners Serve as an ambassador for Helping Hands within the Erie community Provide professional expertise, ideas, and guidance within your area of experience Support fundraising events, campaigns, and community outreach efforts Help strengthen the long-term financial sustainability and growth of the organization Ideal Candidates We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in Erie and are willing to be active, engaged members of the Board—not simply hold a board title. Previous nonprofit or board experience is welcomed but not required . This is a volunteer Board of Directors position and an opportunity to help shape Helping Hands during its foundational stage.
