This position is responsible for coordinating the implementation of GAM's Direct services as approved by the Board of Directors.

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The Programs Manager is responsible for fulfilling GAM's mission, set by the Board, through overseeing the day to day operations.
Work Requirements:
Open and close GAM office and be present at all times that it is open to the public: GAM office hours open to public: M
F 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In emergency situations when unable to be present or arrange for qualified temporary substitute, send text notification to Board President informing of GAM closure and expectedduration.
Provide assistance to persons coming to GAM for services
Provide initial and quarterly training for all volunteers.
Oversee and assist volunteers
Assist the Board in maintaining policies and procedures for direct services
Maintain cleanliness and repair of GAM space
Write checks for all direct services programs
Keep bookkeeper and Treasurer informed of all financial transactions/checks written
Assist Board with information and documents needed for grants and other program funding
Coordinate and participate in Food Bank/Retail Rescue pick-ups. Timely submit accurate reports to Food Bank. Efficiently distribute food to accomplish maximum benefit for GAM member organizations and clients.
Assist the Board with maintaining an interface with supporting congregations and private donors. This includes at least one in-person visit yearly.
Report to the Board President and serve on sub-committees as needed
Respond to Board members' requests in a timely manner
Provide a program activity report to the Board President no later than the close of business on Mondays prior to Board meetings.
Develop a collaborative process for the implementation of a centralized and coordinated process designed for program participant intake, assessment, and provision of referrals for housing and support services.
Collect data on all services provided and assist in maintaining accurate records

QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals of diverse gender identity, and ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds and of varying abilities. 2. Criminal History Search within 30 days of employment. 3. Knowledge of Microsoft office software, and the ability to use various proprietary database management software.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School degree required. Three years relevant work experience in program management, social work and or similar employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the Board, clients, supporting congregations, and the general public.
Working Conditions:
This position is part time position and will require approximately 20 hours per week during regular office hours
Physical Demands:
Light physical effort required. Regularly required to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, reach, bend, life and perform computer key boarding. Ability and lift up to 10-20 pounds may be required.
FLSA Status:
non-exempt from the overtime and timekeeping provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
