We are looking for an experienced Business Broker or M&A Advisor to join our team in Connecticut. This role is a strong fit for a few different backgrounds: A business broker ready to move up from small business transactions into the lower middle market M&A auction process A solo M&A advisor who wants the infrastructure and support of an established firm An advisor at another firm looking for a new home This is a hunter role. You will originate and run your own deals from start to close, building your own book of business through your own network and prospecting, backed by a dedicated support team. From time to time you will also benefit from referrals within the firm, but this is not a role built around a steady handoff of leads.

Sell-Side M&A Advisory — a 4-phase process to prepare and market businesses to strategic buyers, private equity, and other acquirers Business Valuations — our Estimate of Value (EOV) service gives owners a market-based estimate of probable selling price Exit Advantage℠ — our 10-step proprietary program for owners preparing to sell in the next 2 to 5 years, but not yet ready What we're looking for: Experience running a deal process from engagement through closing Natural consultative sales ability Strong negotiation skills Strong understanding of business financials Comfort with CRM systems, email, and the Microsoft Office Suite High sense of urgency and professional mentality Ability to manage multiple ongoing deals, clients, and prospects at once Absolute discretion in handling confidential client and prospect information Strong self-management and a polished, credible professional presence

Responsibilities:

Originate and close your own deals through your own network and prospecting efforts Build a referral network with attorneys, accountants, wealth managers, and other local professionals Prospect for new clients through cold outreach, email campaigns, and other methods Manage transactions end to end, coordinating with clients, accountants, attorneys, and other parties Prepare and review engagement agreements, contracts, NDAs, and other transaction documents Maintain accurate records of transactions and client interactions This is a full-time, 100% commission-based position with unlimited earning potential. Realistic earnings range from $100,000 to $300,000 per year after a 12 to 18-month ramp-up period. Candidates should be able to sustain their lifestyle without closing commissions during that ramp-up. We provide a dedicated support team and onboarding into our systems and process. This person should live in Connecticut and be willing to participate in local networking events.
