Work Schedule :
Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need. The Opportunity Join Ally's Insurance Business Line Risk team as a Senior Analyst and play a key role in advancing core risk programs, executive reporting, and automation capabilities across the business line. This position combines meaningful program ownership with the opportunity to apply strong analytical judgment, technical curiosity, and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will own the Dealer Monitoring Program end to end, delivering timely and actionable reporting for Sales Leaders, business partners, and other matrix stakeholders; help design and build a new Performance Reporting suite from a blank page by applying sound data and reporting principles, coding skills, and Power BI as the consumption layer; and expand BL Risk team capacity through practical automation solutions such as RPA, macros, AI-enabled tools, and other scalable techniques. With high visibility to Risk Executive Leadership and partners across Insurance, this role will contribute to risk conversations that shape monitoring, prioritization, and decision-making. It is well suited for someone who can move work forward independently, translate complex data into clear insights, and use creativity and technical capability to develop reporting and automation solutions that are unique, useful, and connected to the team's broader risk management goals.
The Work Itself Risk Appetite and Risk Reporting:
Develop Power BI reports on key risk stripes to support understanding of risks impacting the business. Collaborate with risk partners to assess key risks and contribute to monthly Risk Dashboard updates for Ally Insurance leadership. Work with colleagues to establish new Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for early detection and prevention of potential risks.
Dealer Monitoring Program:
Own end-to-end execution and ongoing enhancement of the Dealer Monitoring Program. Monitor dealer performance, identify emerging risk trends, and translate insights into timely, meaningful reporting aligned to program goals. Interface directly with Sales Leaders, business partners, and matrix stakeholders to communicate findings, align on dealer-level actions, and ensure reporting is actionable and connected to broader risk priorities.
Automation:
Own the BL Risk automation portfolio and act as a force multiplier by identifying, designing, and implementing practical automation solutions. Apply RPA technology, macros, AI-enabled solutions, and other scalable tools to reduce manual effort and expand team capacity. Simplify recurring work, improve consistency, and free the team to focus on higher-value risk management activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant analytics experience in banking and/or financial services Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Applied Statistics, or equivalent practical experience The Qualifications We're Looking For 3+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry, with a successful track record of applying risk management methodologies to assess, monitor, and report on risks. Data analysis and cloud based reporting skills, including experience using (Snowflake, SAS, Python, R, and PowerBI) are required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with senior leadership, key stakeholders, and matrix partners. Well-developed listening, influencing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to identify and influence decision-makers, defuse conflicts, and work towards agreement. Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and adapt to unexpected requirement changes. Willingness to ask questions and challenge existing processes. Proven ability to independently drive work forward, deliver high-quality results, and maintain momentum without the need for regular, direct supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp new subject matters and apply an analytical mindset to think proactively and strategically. Capable of identifying gaps and proposing effective solutions. Ability to quickly gain knowledge in multiple areas simultaneously (e.g., risk frameworks, processes being remediated/enhanced) to understand program objectives and effectively oversee/contribute to their implementation.
