Permanent Position Reporting Mode:
100% Remote from anywhere in the United States The Business Analyst, Analytics partners with clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering to support data onboarding, integrations, reporting and ongoing data production support. This opportunity is within a small six-employee product company that is owned by a large parent company. We are seeking someone that can work independently, in an ambiguous environment where there is limited documentation and being able to figure things out is important. The ability to wear multiple hats is necessary given the small size of the company. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in an environment with minimal documentation where initiative and problem-solving are essential. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys working in a small team and is interested in growing with the company long term. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can learn new systems independently, investigate problems with limited documentation, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with both clients and teammates. Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a willingness to take ownership are essential. Responsibilities Partner with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and support data onboarding and reporting. Create, validate, troubleshoot, and reconcile data using SQL Server and Excel. Analyze and resolve data quality and production issues. Develop and execute data testing and quality assurance activities. Create and maintain data mappings, specifications, and process documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and production support. Manage work in Jira and communicate project status, risks, and issues. Support production processes while ensuring timely, accurate client deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role. Experience with client-facing data onboarding, data integrations, and data production support. Strong SQL skills in a Microsoft SQL Server environment and advanced Excel proficiency. Experience with data formats such as CSV and JSON; Python experience is a plus. Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and Agile workflows preferred.
