Summary Manages and supports warehouse, inventory, purchasing, and distribution operations. Reviews operational and financial data to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, purchasing decisions, cost controls, and profitability. Develops and evaluates management reports, forecasts, dashboards, and performance metrics. Uses data analysis and process improvement methods to identify operational issues and recommend corrective actions. The position works closely with management and warehouse staff to support efficient receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory control, purchasing, and reporting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Monitor warehouse productivity, order accuracy, labor utilization, fulfillment times, and operational performance. Analyze sales, inventory, purchasing, and warehouse data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, supplier pricing, and purchasing records to verify pricing accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities. Analyze inventory turnover, stock levels, product movement, slow-moving inventory, stockouts, and replenishment requirements. Investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and inventory records and recommend corrective actions. Develop inventory forecasts and purchasing recommendations based on historical sales, product movement, and demand trends. Analyze product costs, margins, pricing, and profitability to support management decisions. Use Python, including pandas and NumPy, for data manipulation, cleaning, analysis, automation, and script-based reporting. Develop automated reporting processes for inventory, purchasing, warehouse performance, and operational data. Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to monitor warehouse, inventory, purchasing, sales, and financial performance. Use Advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, formulas, financial models, reconciliations, and forecasting tools. Prepare reports and PowerPoint presentations for management regarding operational performance, inventory, purchasing, costs, and profitability. Develop and monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, fulfillment, purchasing costs, and operational efficiency. Identify process inefficiencies and develop corrective and preventative actions to improve productivity, accuracy, and cost control. Coordinate with management, warehouse employees, purchasing, sales, and vendors to resolve operational issues. Supervise and support warehouse employees and assist with scheduling, training, performance management, and daily work assignments. Continuously review warehouse and business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, safety, and overall performance. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises warehouse employees and supports the overall direction and coordination of warehouse and distribution activities. Responsibilities may include employee training, work assignments, performance monitoring, scheduling, problem resolution, and maintaining compliance with company procedures. Qualifications The position requires strong analytical, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree required in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative or operational field. Master's degree preferred in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field. Previous experience in warehouse operations, distribution, inventory management, supply chain, business analytics, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with inventory, purchasing, vendor pricing, warehouse operations, or business performance data is preferred.
Computer Skills Working knowledge of:
Python pandas and NumPy Power BI or Tableau Advanced Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Inventory, warehouse, ERP, POS, or similar business management systems Strong proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and dashboard development is preferred. Preferred Skills Wholesale distribution or warehouse operations experience Inventory forecasting and purchasing analysis Vendor cost comparison experience Warehouse employee supervision or management experience Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to independently analyze complex data and provide data-driven recommendations to management
Pay:
$24.50 - $37.50 per hour
