We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an on-site position based in Huntington Beach, CA. Export Control Requirements:
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
JOB SUMMARY
The Buyer is responsible for acquiring goods and services at a competitive price, with on-time delivery and top quality via issuance of a purchase order. The Buyer will assist more senior buyers and perform a range of activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, suppliers, and services based on established quality standards, availability requirements and price constraints.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
- Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Make daily purchases within allotted programs based on requisitions and analyze the quality, specifications and delivery requirements Send out quotations for bid on non-contracted items and negotiates best price Enter purchase orders into system and issue to supplier via fax or e-mail Review purchase orders on a weekly basis via reporting system and follows up on past due items plus requirements due in coming weeks. Highlight any problem areas and reports to Purchasing Director Interact with Planning and Production to ensure any changes in production requirements are flowed down to suppliers Generate effective communication, good relationships, and a positive image with suppliers and co-workers promoting courtesy, objectivity and fairness Liaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffers Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) written against suppliers and relay such information to them and coordinate corrective action Update suppliers with engineering changes and drawings Review supplier performance Locate new suppliers (if necessary). Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures. Protect the confidentiality of the Company's information and products. Contribute to team efforts by performing other job-related duties and projects as assigned or requested. Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is desired.
Experience:
Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates.

Extended or irregular hours may be required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Salary Range Transparency:
$82,500 - $103,000 annually
