In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing a wide range of dry goods to ensure optimal inventory levels and supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for dry goods by analyzing market trends, pricing, and vendor capabilities. Manage purchase orders using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms to ensure timely procurement. Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective inventory management and control practices. Communicate regularly with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms that benefit the company. Collaborate with internal teams including materials management, supply chain management, and accounting software systems to streamline procurement workflows. Utilize spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools to monitor purchasing data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize sourcing decisions. Support vendor relationship management efforts by conducting direct negotiations and resolving any supply or quality issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience in purchasing management systems such as

SAP ERP, JD

Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain processes. Skilled in using spreadsheets and Excel for data analysis related to procurement activities. Excellent vendor communication skills with a focus on negotiation and relationship building. Knowledge of procurement best practices including sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and direct negotiation procurement. Familiarity with accounting software and vendor negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms. Ability to analyze complex data sets related to inventory management and pricing trends for informed decision-making.
