Our work supports communications, sensing, and data delivery in demanding orbital environments, with applications ranging from weather forecasting and Earth science to global connectivity, national security, and scientific exploration. Our hardware is flight-proven, with more than 25 antennas currently on orbit and a portfolio of deployable apertures that spans multiple sizes and frequency regimes. As we scale manufacturing to meet growing demand, we're building a team focused on disciplined execution, technical rigor, and delivering hardware that works. If you're interested in joining a growing team that designs and builds the infrastructure behind modern space missions, we'd like to hear from you.
Tendeg's Philosophy:
We encourage innovation and entrepreneurial energy. We are successful because we take a unique approach to solving problems. We look for creative thinkers and self-motivated people that can collaborate within our open team environment. TENDEG is an acronym for TENacious Design and Engineering Group. Obviously, tenacity is another trait we embrace.
About the role:
The Buyer I is responsible for day-to-day procurement of materials, components, and services that keep Tendeg's antenna production on schedule. This role places and manages purchase orders, tracks deliveries, and works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production to make sure the right parts arrive on time and to spec. It's a strong entry point into aerospace supply chain, with room to grow into more complex commodity ownership as Tendeg scales production. What you'll do: Issue purchase orders for raw materials, components, and outside services based on production schedules and engineering requirements. Track open orders and proactively expedite or reschedule deliveries to protect build schedules and program milestones. Maintain accurate purchasing records in Tendeg's ERP/MRP system, including pricing, lead times, and supplier performance data. Resolve day-to-day supplier issues, such as discrepancies in pricing, quantity, specification, or delivery. Work with Receiving and Quality to resolve non-conforming material and coordinate returns or rework with suppliers. Support requests for quote (RFQ) activities, including gathering quotes and comparing supplier proposals. Maintain supplier documentation required for AS9100 quality and
ITAR/EAR
export compliance. Communicate schedule risks tied to material availability to the Supply Chain Manager and Production planning. Perform other duties as assigned. What you'll need: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years of purchasing, buying, or materials-coordination experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working in an ERP/MRP system for purchasing and inventory transactions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple open orders at once. Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. U.S. Person status required due to export-controlled data and
ITAR/EAR
compliance.
Nice-to-haves:
Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems. Exposure to composites, electro-mechanical, or electronics commodities. This is a full-time, exempt position based onsite in Louisville, CO, with a base salary range of $65,000
