EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or GED. Five years relevant experience to job description. Previous supervisory experience. Valid Driver's License. Must be able to report to the Daytona location daily.
Responsible for purchasing, yard receiving, yard inventory control, material delivery, equipment control and equipment maintenance in a timely, financially sound and cost effective manner while maintaining high standards of integrity and internal customer satisfaction.
AUTHORITY AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Purchasing/Warehouse/Yard Manager is hired by and reports to the President.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Purchasing/Warehouse/Yard Manager is directly, or indirectly through subordinates, responsible for: Proactively and cost effectively supporting Project Managers and Site Foreperson by having the right materials, tools and equipment in the right place at the right time. Making suggestions to the President for increasing profitability and operational efficiency.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing, maintaining and controlling reasonable on-hand inventories of common stock materials. Responsible for bidding, costing and buying miscellaneous non-specification driven job materials as requested by Project Managers. Responsible for acquiring and delivering material on a timely basis as requested by Foreperson on properly completed Material Request Forms as well as delivering equipment as requested. Responsible for receiving all material/equipment delivered to the yard, including proper verification and documentation. Route completed documentation to Accounts Payable on a timely basis. Responsible for the subsequent disposition of material received into the yard including notification, storage and/or delivery, as appropriate. Responsible for proactively researching and resolving Purchase Order back orders/shortages as reported by Foremen. Proactively perform vendor expediting as needed. Responsible for conducting semi-annual physical inventories of on-site materials. Responsible for maintaining control over the location of all pieces of tagged equipment and tools. Responsible for routine preventive and ad hoc maintenance of equipment, tools and yard. Responsible for costing/pricing/filing Time and Material Tickets on a timely basis. Responsible for yearly vendor material maintenance agreements and purchase orders. Responsible for maintaining current price sheets for use by Project Managers. Responsible for maintaining, publishing and distributing Purchase Order listings for active large jobs. Responsible for all yard safety matters including, as appropriate, developing safety plans, providing safety training and monitoring yard safety practices. Responsible for performing such other duties as may be defined from time to time by the President.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Flexible thinking skills. Operate a calculator and computer. Communication skills. Must be able to write legibly and neatly.
