K.W.I. Grand Rental is seeking a dependable and organized Parts & Purchasing Coordinator to support our mechanics and service department. This position is responsible for identifying, sourcing, ordering, receiving, and maintaining parts needed to keep our rental equipment operational. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working around construction equipment, has good computer skills, and can work directly with mechanics and vendors to make sure the correct parts are ordered quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with mechanics to identify parts needed for equipment repairs and maintenance Look up parts using equipment make, model, serial numbers, parts diagrams, and service manuals Order parts from manufacturers, dealerships, and other suppliers Compare pricing and availability between vendors when appropriate Track open orders and backordered parts and follow up with vendors Receive incoming parts and verify orders for accuracy Maintain an organized parts room and accurate parts inventory Monitor commonly used parts and reorder inventory as needed Process parts returns, warranty claims, credits, and incorrect orders Maintain purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and parts records Assign parts and costs to the appropriate equipment or repair Provide mechanics with the parts and supplies needed to complete repairs efficiently Maintain good working relationships with vendors and dealerships Order parts and supplies for preventative maintenance Help control parts costs and minimize equipment downtime Perform periodic inventory counts and correct inventory discrepancies Customer service and interaction

Qualifications:

Parts, construction equipment, automotive, mechanical, or equipment-rental experience preferred Mechanical knowledge and ability to identify equipment components is preferred Ability to navigate online parts catalogs and diagrams Basic computer skills Strong organizational and communication skills Attention to detail Ability to manage multiple parts orders and priorities at the same time Dependable and able to work independently as well as with our mechanics and other employees Knowledge of skid steers, excavators, aerial lifts, forklifts, generators, and other construction equipment is a plus We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the parts department, stays organized, follows up on outstanding orders, and understands the importance of getting equipment repaired and back into service as quickly as possible.
