Event Sourcing Consultant - Hybrid#26-07933 Charlotte, NC Minneapolis, MN West Des Moines, IA Onsite Contract Starts 8/16/2026 Ends 2/15/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an Event Sourcing Consultant - Hybrid for a 6+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, West Des Moines, IA, or Minneapolis, MN. In this role, the consultant will support corporate meeting and event venue sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contracting activities. The ideal candidate will manage multiple concurrent assignments, partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and use Cvent to conduct venue searches and RFP activities, ensuring all engagementsply with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Participate in low to moderatelyplex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Sourcing Review and analyze basic or tactical Sourcing assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives Present rmendations for resolving situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, andpliance requirements Manage a high workload with strong prioritization skills, with approximately 60% of time on sourcing venues and 40% on administrative tasks Ensure engagementsply with established policies, procedures, and risk requirements

Requirements:

2+ years of Sourcing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education 3+ years of professional experience in corporate meeting and event planning, venue sourcing, supplier contracting, hotel sales, catering, or convention services Hands-on experience using Cvent Supplier Network or equivalent venue-sourcing technology to conduct searches, issue RFPs, evaluate proposals, andmunicate with suppliers Direct experience reviewing and negotiating meetings, trade shows, and event supplier agreements Working knowledge of hotel and meeting suppliermercial terms, including rates, concessions, cancellation provisions, and attrition Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbalmunication skills, with proven stakeholdermunication proficiency Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment Must bemitted to a minimum of 4 days on-site per week Desired skills: Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry Experience with enterprise procurement, contracting, risk, or third-party management processes Demonstrated supplier relationship management experience CMP designation or relevant hospitality, event management, sourcing, or contracting certification Ability to leverage AI tools Pay range: $30.63 - $38.63 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
