Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Buyer for a hybrid position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Oak Brook, IL or Racine, WI. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This role is for a high-performing, self-starting individual to join a demanding team focused on parts and servicemodities. The candidate will manage procurement and supply chain tasks, including data analysis, supplier negotiations, and reporting, utilizing mandatory skills in SAP and advanced Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all procurement tasks up to contract signature, including resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, and surcharge management

Perform data analysis, reporting, and payment resolutions

Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs

Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, andponents

Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand

Coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing and engineering costs

Participate in design and technical reviews

Select, rmend, and manage relationships with major suppliers and vendors

Primary Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing with a specificmodity (8-12 years preferred)
• Mandatory proficiency in SAP
• Mandatory advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros)
• Background in global procurement, supply chain, or purchasing is highly preferred
• Ability to read and understand blues and specifications
• Strong logistical knowledge
• Ability to perform a technical review and quality of product assessment
