Schulte Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer for a growing manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing electro-mechanical components, managing supplier performance, controlling inventory, and developing purchasing strategies that support cost, quality, and delivery goals. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing purchasing experience, understands MRP/ERP systems, and is comfortable negotiating with suppliers and managing a complex supply chain. Key Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders, quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules Manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements to achieve cost savings Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies Maintain appropriate inventory levels while supporting production requirements Identify alternative suppliers when shortages or supply chain disruptions occur Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and other internal departments Resolve supplier performance, quality, delivery, and purchasing issues Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives Utilize MRP/ERP data to forecast purchasing needs and manage material availability Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of purchasing/buyer experience within a manufacturing environment Strong MRP/ERP experience Experience purchasing electro-mechanical components or similar technical commodities strongly preferred Strong negotiation, supplier management, and organizational skills Experience with inventory management and cost-reduction initiatives Ability to read and understand technical drawings/blueprints preferred Knowledge of AS9100 and/or

ISO 9001
