• Commercial & Industrial Minneapolis, MN, United States (Hybrid) Job Description SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Buyer I or II that will be responsible for working with project teams and suppliers to purchase materials, supplies, equipment and services.

The primary focus of material procurement includes consumables, indirect materials, and on-site services. This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop relationships with suppliers: solicit bids, analyze quotations, and select suppliers Purchase items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements, and other factors Create and maintain catalogs for each operating group or project that is supported Propose purchase transactions that higher authority approve prior to final action and arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers Track order status from time of placing order until delivery and communicate status to project teams along with entering purchase orders and retain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis Train project teams to effectively utilize procurement system

QUALIFICATIONS

I MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two year's relevant experience The base pay range for this role is $66,400

• $89,700 Buyer

II MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years of experience relevant experience The base pay range for this role is $72,900

• $109,400 Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
