Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Parts Specialist Manager to oversee our parts department within the small engine sector. This leadership role requires a strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and supplier relations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, proficiency with ERP systems, and experience in dealership or warehouse environments. As a Parts Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing parts procurement, managing inventory levels, and ensuring excellent customer service to support our small engine repair and manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Lead and manage the parts department, including procurement, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement. Utilize commander systems, and order management systems to track inventory levels, process orders, and maintain accurate data entry. Coordinate with logistics for shipping & receiving, warehousing, and equipment repair activities. Implement demand planning and inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory. Manage procurement processes for OEM parts, small engine supplies, and other small engine service parts. Supervise warehouse operations including forklift use, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment within the parts department. Collaborate with small engine diagnostics teams and dealership service departments to meet customer needs efficiently. Monitor pricing strategies and develop demand forecasts to support procurement decisions. Provide leadership in sourcing initiatives, negotiation with suppliers, and developing strategic partnerships. Maintain excellent customer service standards by supporting internal teams and external clients with timely parts availability. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or warehouse management within automotive or manufacturing industries. Strong mechanical knowledge related to small engine diagnostics, small engine repair, and equipment repair. Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management software; experience with CMMS is a plus. Knowledge of inventory management techniques including demand planning, inventory control, and pricing strategies. Experience with sourcing OEM parts and managing supplier relationships; dealership experience is highly desirable. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving procedures; forklift certification preferred. Excellent data entry skills combined with strong organizational abilities. Customer service orientation with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience working with small engine repair shops or dealership service departments is advantageous.
