Located in the beautiful South Carolina Upstate region, the nearby city of Greenville provides good schools, ample recreation, and great weather throughout the year. We moved into our new building at 1013 Robinson Road, Greer, SC, 29651, 15 minutes away from Greenville, SC. Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm (Monday through Friday) with a 1-hour lunch break. Berrang.com Responsibilities (Purchasing Specialist): Obtaining quotes from suppliers for the sales department; Issuing purchase orders for new parts; Generating cost savings initiatives;

Requirements:

On-the-job experience with buying metric fasteners (or other metal parts) for the automotive industry Ability to read prints, from basic to complex Familiar with Public Standards - ISO, DIN, ASME, SAE, etc. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles Familiarity with an MRP system Practical experience in handling supplier quotes Excellent negotiation and people skills, as well as the ability to work in a team and lead a team Solid experience with automotive processes
