Exempt SUMMARY This position requires close collaboration with the Manufacturing, Marketing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance Departments. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, negotiating supplier pricing with optimized delivery planning, negotiating supplier terms & conditions, ensuring satisfactory supplier delivery performance, coordinating with Quality Assurance to ensure supplier quality, processing purchase orders, and partnering with inventory management teams to achieve working capital goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Negotiates LTA's, blanket orders, or spot-buys. Coordinates proper supplier compliance of industry standards (i.e. - AS9100, ISO14001, NADCAP, etc). Communicates and organizes supplier scorecards, applying appropriate diligence to quality, cost, and delivery concerns. Responsible for acquisition cost reductions in the form of material, outside processing (OSP), and transportation as appropriate and in accordance with PPV goals. Utilizing the MRP system, plans and schedules orders for externally purchased materials / processes in line with master schedules and customer needs. Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments. Revises Purchase and Manufacturing Orders according to availability of materials, workers, and production capacity to ensure satisfactory delivery performance. Supports production planning activities including, but not limited to, Manufacturing Orders Maintenance and Pick List creation. Participates in non-conformance meetings (NCM) as necessary and commensurate with the needs of assigned products. Cooperates with Materials Manager and other enterprise teammates to asses and mitigate business risk with the aim of maximizing fiscal performance. May assist in process improvement development and implementation of production procedures to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce systems costs. Measures progress by established standards of performance. Complies with and conducts business in accordance with the letter, spirit, and intent of all relevant laws and regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions; wherefore, refrains from any illegal, dishonest, unethical conduct. Maintains communications with all employees, vendors, customers and others in a cooperative and professional manner, while treating them in with dignity, respect and courtesy. Performs other related duties as required and may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL
EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or
EXPERIENCE
Education:
Associates Degree, High school diploma or GED along with one year certificate from college or technical school.
Work Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training. Alternative equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. In addition, possess the following: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency with MS Office and Outlook (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to navigate various freight software, labeling matrix programs, and Internet literate for on-line forms processing. Ability to solve practical problems and work with ambiguity where standardization may be absent. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to compute basic math, units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percent. Must have a good working knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use. Must be able to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required. HAZMAT certification is required. This position must meet "US Person" Export Control Requirements as defined by 22 CFR 120.62 - "US Person means a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)." Or a successful foreign person candidate must be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations."
