In this role, you will serve as a vital link between shippers and carriers, coordinating freight transportation solutions that meet client needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Your expertise in transportation management, customer relationship management, and logistics sales will drive successful freight brokerage operations. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors to ensure seamless freight movement and customer satisfaction Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to optimize profitability and service quality Coordinate transportation planning, dispatching, and scheduling using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software such as EDI or AS400 Manage shipping logistics for various modes including air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and ground transportation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and FDA requirements where applicable Generate leads through prospecting activities, cold calling, and leveraging CRM software to expand the client base Track shipments in real-time, troubleshoot issues proactively, and communicate effectively with clients regarding shipment status or delays Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping for all transactions including pricing, contracts, and trade compliance documentation Skills Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics operations Proven experience in freight brokerage, freight forwarding logistics, or 3PL (third-party logistics) environments Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively in B2B sales settings Excellent customer service skills combined with client relationship management expertise Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms Deep understanding of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and shipping logistics including air freight and ocean freight (NVOCC) Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and dispatching tasks Effective communication skills for client negotiations, contract discussions, and internal coordination Knowledge of transportation sales strategies including carrier sales and logistics sales techniques Join us as a Freight Broker Agent to leverage your expertise in supply chain management while helping clients navigate complex shipping logistics worldwide.
