Full Job Description Job Summary:
BUSINESS CARGO EXPRESS
is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to support our logistics and cargo operations. The successful candidate will inspect shipments, verify cargo condition and documentation, identify discrepancies, and ensure that shipments meet company quality and handling standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and an interest in logistics, warehousing, and shipment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming and outgoing cargo for accuracy, damage, and compliance with company standards. Verify shipment contents against orders, packing lists, and transportation documents. Identify and document damaged, missing, mislabeled, or incorrectly processed items. Perform quality checks throughout receiving, processing, packing, and shipping operations. Maintain accurate inspection and quality-control records. Report discrepancies and quality issues to supervisors and logistics personnel. Assist with investigating shipment errors and recurring quality problems. Ensure cargo is properly labeled, packaged, and prepared for transportation. Monitor compliance with established handling, storage, and shipping procedures. Communicate with warehouse and transportation teams to resolve quality issues promptly. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing shipment errors and cargo damage. Follow company safety procedures and applicable logistics and warehouse regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in quality control, logistics, warehousing, shipping, or receiving is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify discrepancies and follow established procedures. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to read and verify shipping and inventory documentation. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Pay:
$21.40 - $25.80 per hour
