Our client is seeking for an Accounting Coordinator to join their freight forward organization in Miami Lakes, FL. Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in the fast-paced world of international logistics We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator with freight forwarding experience to join our collaborative team in Miami Lakes! If you love keeping the numbers in check while supporting dynamic daily trade operations, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do You will serve as a vital pillar of our financial operations, partnering closely with our Accounting, Operations, and Management teams to ensure all vendor payments, customer invoices, freight charges, and financial transactions run smoothly. Accounts Payable (AP): Review, code, and enter vendor invoices for ocean, air, trucking, warehousing, and customs services. Match invoices against rate agreements, POs, and shipment records while verifying transport-specific fees (demurrage, storage, detention, and terminal charges). Accounts Receivable (AR) &

Billing:

Generate and dispatch accurate customer billing, process incoming payments, and follow up gently on outstanding account balances.

Reconciliations & Closing:

Perform bank reconciliations, assist with month-end closing activities, and ensure financial records align perfectly with operational documentation.

Cross-Department Support:

Collaborate with the operations team to resolve billing discrepancies and keep shipment records moving forward without friction.

What We're Looking For Industry Experience:

Prior experience in freight forwarding, ocean/air shipping, transportation, or logistics is highly preferred.

Core Accounting Skills:

Proven hands-on experience in AP, AR, billing, and general ledger coding.

Detail & Efficiency:

High accuracy when handling transport documentation, rate sheets, and high-volume data entry under deadlines.

Team Mindset:

Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work alongside internal teams and external logistics partners.
