A global freight forwarding company is seeking an experienced Air Export Coordinator to support its operations in the Elk Grove Village, IL area . The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on Air Export experience with a freight forwarding company and a strong understanding of international air freight operations. Air Export Coordinator Responsibilities Coordinate and manage Air Export shipments from booking through final departure Track shipments and communicate shipment status and progress to customers and overseas agents Communicate effectively with airlines, carriers, customers, overseas agents, and vendors via phone and email Prepare and process Air Export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, AWB, and other required documents Receive, review, and process import/export documentation for accuracy and completeness Coordinate with airlines and trucking companies to arrange cargo pickup and delivery Monitor flight schedules, cut-off times, and shipment deadlines Send and receive shipping documents from customers, carriers, and overseas agents Resolve shipment issues and coordinate solutions with customers, airlines, and agents Handle claims with insurance companies when shipment problems or damages occur Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements Air Export Coordinator Requirements 2-3 years of hands-on Air Export experience with a freight forwarding company required Experience handling international Air Export operations from booking through departure Strong knowledge of Air Export documentation and procedures High School Diploma or GED required Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel Ability to communicate effectively with customers, airlines, carriers, and overseas agents This position does not support visa sponsorship or relocation expenses We do not accept resumes from third-party organizations or recruiters -While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
