The right candidate will combine strategic vision with a collaborative leadership style to unify the organization around the cooperative's long-term direction. This individual will lead Tipmont not only as an electric distribution cooperative, but also in acquiring independent wholesale power supply, Tipmont Broadband, and Wintek. Tipmont's senior team shares leadership responsibility for ensuring all four areas deliver optimized value to the membership. Just as important, this leader will value becoming part of the community, someone willing to put down roots, spend time in the area, and truly get to know the people and way of life in west central Indiana. This individual will foster a workplace culture that supports employees, encourages professional growth, and equips team members with the tools and resources needed to deliver outstanding service to members. By taking the time to engage with both the organization and the broader community, the CEO will help strengthen connections and guide Tipmont in a way that reflects the values and needs of the region it serves. In this role, the CEO will be responsible for driving excellence across organizational culture, safety, service delivery, system reliability, operational performance, and financial stewardship across all the cooperative's four business units. Building strong, trust-based relationships with the board, employees, members, energy and technology partners, community leaders, and other stakeholders will be critical to success. About Tipmont Governed by a seven-member board of directors, Tipmont is the fifth-largest member-owned electric cooperative in Indiana, serving more than 32,000 members and over 32,500 meters across parts of eight counties in west central Indiana. Directors are elected by the membership to three-year terms, with the service territory divided into seven districts and one director representing each district. In 2019, Tipmont and Wintek joined together, powered by a shared mission to serve their members' best interests. Together, as Tipmont, they operate as a local company delivering the superior electric service members have known and trusted for generations, while also building one of the region's most advanced fiber broadband networks. This dual utility model reflects Tipmont's belief that helping members thrive and helping communities grow go hand in hand. At Tipmont, the guiding philosophy is simple: \"We make each other better.\" Tipmont currently serves 31,995 members through 32,537 meters, operating 2,938 miles of electric line and 3,875 miles of fiber. The cooperative owns 22 substations, employs 120 people, and is growing at about 2.5% per year. Tipmont independently plans for and manages its own power supply, secured in the market (MISO Zone 6) with support from NextEra Energy Marketing. The portfolio is partially hedged through 2032 via a partial requirements agreement with Wabash Valley Power Alliance. Tipmont is one of only three independent cooperatives in Indiana (the rest belong to a G&T), offering rare exposure to supply markets. Tipmont Broadband —a division of Tipmont providing residential broadband to over 10,000 members; owns and operates the fiber infrastructure within the electric service footprint; a wholesale customer of Wintek, which manages the network, backhaul, security, and network engineering. Wintek —a for-profit subsidiary acquired in 2018, providing bespoke communications technology and infrastructure to 550 enterprise/institutional customers in Greater Lafayette. Notable customers include Purdue University, Caterpillar, Subaru of Indiana, and the cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette. Operates a state-of-the-art data center and is a certified Cisco partner. The cooperative's commitment to community runs deep. Through Operation Round Up, the Youth Tour, Page Day, Camp Kilowatt, community sponsorships, and free public Wi-Fi, Tipmont invests in the people and places it serves.
