Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Village Clerk &/or Treasurer to join our community leadership team. This vital role involves managing administrative functions, overseeing financial operations, and supporting strategic initiatives to ensure the efficient and transparent running of village affairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, , and a passion for community development. As a key figure in local governance, you will collaborate closely with board members, residents, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities Manage all administrative duties related to village governance, including record keeping, meeting minutes, and official correspondence. Oversee the village's financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting in compliance with nonprofit standards. Lead strategic planning efforts to align community goals with operational capabilities and funding opportunities. Supervise staff or volunteers involved in administrative or financial functions, ensuring effective team management and operational efficiency. Collaborate with board members on policy development, fundraising initiatives, and business development strategies to support community projects. Oversee operations management related to village services, infrastructure projects, and community programs. Facilitate fundraising efforts for community development and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices in village management while maintaining transparency with residents and stakeholders. Experience Proven experience in corporate strategy, executive leadership, or nonprofit management with a focus on financial oversight. Demonstrated success in business management, team supervision, and operational oversight within a community or nonprofit setting. Strong background in financial management, including budget planning at an executive level and fundraising for organizational growth. Experience working closely with boards of directors or trustees on strategic initiatives and governance matters. Skilled in marketing, outreach, and building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders. Prior experience in financial management, strategic planning, and government operations is highly desirable. Pay:
$17,000.00 - $28,000.00 per year
