Exempt About the Position Paratransit Services seeks an experienced, strategic President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the nonprofit organization and its specialized transportation, paratransit, and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides overall executive leadership and is responsible for organizational strategy, operational performance, nonprofit compliance, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, workforce leadership, and long-term growth and sustainability. The CEO serves as the organization's principal representative and works closely with the Board, employees, government agencies, clients, community partners, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for a complex, multi-location transportation organization. Implement Board policies, strategic objectives, and organizational goals. Oversee safe, reliable, efficient, cost-effective, and client-responsive transportation and NEMT operations. Lead development and administration of the annual organizational budget and monitor financial performance. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, contracts, and industry requirements. Develop and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, regulators, legislators, funding organizations, community partners, and business stakeholders. Lead executive staff and senior management and promote accountability, employee development, and strong organizational performance. Oversee safety, risk management, quality, labor relations, and employment compliance. Serve as the organization's principal public spokesperson and advocate for its mission and clients. Maintain a transparent, collaborative, and accountable relationship with the Board of Directors. Identify opportunities for organizational growth, service improvement, technology advancement, efficiency, and financial sustainability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in transportation, public administration, business administration, management, or a related field preferred. Seven or more years of progressively responsible management or executive-level experience, preferably in transportation, paratransit, NEMT, human services, healthcare transportation, government, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing complex operations, budgets, personnel, and external relationships. Strong knowledge of strategic planning, financial management, organizational development, insurance, regulatory compliance, and workforce leadership. Experience with government contracts, grants, funding programs, labor relations, or collective bargaining is highly desirable. Experience leading a multi-location or multi-state organization is preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive leadership skills. Ability and willingness to travel as required by the position.

Compensation Base Salary:

$205,000 - $240,000 annually, commensurate with the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Annual Performance Incentive:

Eligible for an annual performance incentive with a target opportunity of up to 20% of base salary. Any incentive award is subject to Board approval and achievement of established organizational and/or individual performance objectives.
