: The Nifty Thrifty Manager coordinates with the EPHC Auxiliary Board to facilitate the clean, safe, and efficient operation of the Nifty Thrifty Store.
Part Time:
15 to 20/hr a week
Wage Scale:
$20 - 22/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Be responsible for all volunteer personnel including:
Ensuring all customers and volunteers are treated with courtesy and kindness.
Maintaining consistent training, supervision and staffing of Day Chairs and other store volunteers including recruitment and dismissal.
Encouraging open communication with/among store volunteers, day chairs and the Board.
Resolving minor conflicts affecting the efficient operation of the store.
Maintaining volunteer application records and emergency contact information.
2. Maintain consistent quality and pricing of merchandise, appearance of the store, end of day sales records and bank deposits, and proper operation of the cash register. 3. Maintain supplies for first aid, cleaning, pricing and packaging of merchandise, and cash register operation. 4. Manage the distribution of the entrance keys with Day Chairs. 5. Ensure the proper operation of the alarm system, video cameras and credit card machine. 6. Coordinate with all outside vendors such as the janitorial, delivery, trash collection services, Multiple Sclerosis agency, and others. 7. Attend Auxiliary Board meetings to report store updates. 8. Manage the Nifty Thrifty Facebook page. 9. Fill in for absent Day Chairs as needed.

As a member of the EPHC Auxiliary Team, the position requires a high level of leadership acumen. This includes, but is not limited to, effective communication and collaboration with the EPHC Auxiliary Board and Nifty Thrifty team members, and a pro-active approach to problem solving.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The following education or combination of education and experience are required for the position: 1. Previous experience in a managerial position is desired 2. Previous experience in retail and customer service
