Company Overview Local Trucking Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Trucking Operations to lead and oversee our trucking operations. This executive will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, safety, driver performance, customer satisfaction, and overall fleet efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all trucking operations.
• Oversee dispatch, driver workforce, fleet utilization, equipment performance, and day-to-day transportation operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue, margins, utilization, productivity, and overall profitability.
• Establish and monitor key operational performance metrics and hold managers accountable for results.
• Lead and develop operations managers, dispatchers, driver management personnel, and other operational staff.
• Monitor and improve driver productivity, service levels, safety performance, and compliance.
• Work closely with the Safety Department to maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, SQF and company safety requirements
• Oversee fleet performance, maintenance coordination, equipment utilization, and downtime.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Review operating costs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Assist executive leadership with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and growth initiatives.
• Develop and ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed throughout operations.
• Promote and ensure culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change and support the company's continued growth. Qualifications
• 10+ years of transportation/trucking industry experience, with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience managing large-scale trucking operations.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations, dispatch, driver management, safety, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and transportation economics.
• Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and profitability.
• Strong knowledge of trucking KPIs and performance metrics.
• Experience managing and developing leaders and large teams.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered. $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
