$150,000-$200,000 annually Join the TCW Companies Leadership Team The TCW Companies are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Assistant Vice President of Operations to join our executive leadership team. This position plays a critical role in leading railroad operations, developing high-performing leaders, and driving operational excellence while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an accomplished railroad operations leader with exceptional leadership skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire teams while supporting the company's long-term strategic objectives. What You'll Do As the Assistant Vice President of Operations, you will: Provide leadership and oversight for all operational departments across the TCW Companies. Develop, mentor, and coach department leaders while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Champion TCW's commitment to safety by ensuring compliance with company safety initiatives and industry regulations. Lead strategic planning initiatives that support company growth and operational performance. Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations and executive leadership to establish organizational goals and priorities. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and public officials. Oversee financial performance, expense management, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and industry regulations, including FRA, GCOR, PTC, EEOC, ACA, and other applicable requirements. Represent the Operations Department during Board of Directors meetings and executive planning sessions. Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture throughout the organization. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Transportation, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive railroad operations leadership experience . Demonstrated success leading multiple operational departments and developing high-performing teams. Extensive knowledge of railroad operations, maintenance, safety practices, and FRA regulations. Strong strategic planning, organizational, and financial management skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. Preferred 20 years of progressive responsability in railroad operations 5-10 yrs of supervisory experience in railroad operations or related field.
