Apply Now! Your Opportunity The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. Ensure the upkeep of all east coast hog production assets/equipment, including trucks and trailers. Oversight of internal maintenance processes of company owned and operated M&R shops. Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, consistently eyeing cost reduction opportunities to negotiate the lowest cost/prices. Responsible for the procurement strategy and initiatives for identifying new products and maintaining knowledge on product specifications. Accountable for all operations and procedures of shop policies, procedures, and performance. Ensure established metrics and KPI's are met and exceeded. Core Responsibilities The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Directs east coast hog production garage operations and garage management. Garage management are responsible for ensuring repairs, service, and maintenance of a variety of vehicular equipment; workflow and developing schedules; maintaining records. Provides direction for quality control for in-house and vendor repairs, equipment, materials, and supply usage. Responsible for establishing and oversight of the east coast hog production fleet operations maintenance and garage safety programs. Oversees new contractors, vendors, and other service providers. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with representatives of other departments. Overseeing employee training and development, evaluating performance. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to communicate verbally and written. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required. Purchasing/Negotiation experience for the procurement of large equipment including trucks, trailers, etc. Experience with diesel maintenance required. Experience managing large fleet size required. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation for hog production garage operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
