Our response area includes a diverse mix of suburban, rural, residential, commercial, and community environments. Operating from a single fire station, OAFED provides a comprehensive range of emergency services with: Two Paramedic-level ambulances Two fire engines Heavy rescue Tender Two brush trucks Career, part-time, and intern personnel OAFED responds to more than 1,800 fire and EMS incidents each year while maintaining a strong commitment to providing professional, compassionate, and community-focused service. The Division Chief will play an important role in the continued development of OAFED's Operations, Community Risk Reduction, and EMS divisions. This position provides an opportunity for an experienced fire/EMS professional to lead, mentor, and develop our personnel while helping shape the future of the organization. The Division Chief will work closely with the Fire Chief, Chief Officers, career personnel, part-time personnel, interns, and community partners to: Lead and mentor members of the organization Strengthen operational readiness and incident response capabilities Continue advancing OAFED's EMS services and clinical operations Develop and support personnel through training, coaching, and professional development Lead community risk reduction and public education initiatives Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and service delivery Support recruitment, retention, and development of our workforce Build strong relationships with our municipalities, residents, and community partners Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement At OAFED, our responsibility extends beyond responding to emergency calls.
