About the Role We're seeking a detail-driven Contract Admin to join our growing team. Reporting to Sales leadership, you'll be responsible for identifying new government and cooperative contract opportunities, and working closely with our supplier partners to complete the bid process from start to finish. You'll manage BSI's participation in cooperative purchasing agreements (EPC, OPC, META), maintain SAM.gov and other compliance documentation, and help grow BSI's footprint in public-sector and institutional business. This is a fully onsite role based at our Canal Winchester location, ideal for someone who thrives on organization, research, and seeing a bid through from opportunity to award. What We're Looking For Beyond the required experience, we're looking for someone who is: Organized and detail-oriented — manages multiple bids, deadlines, and compliance documents without dropping the ball Internally motivated — a true self-starter who proactively seeks out new contract opportunities Analytical — can evaluate a bid opportunity for fit, risk, and profitability before committing time to it Coachable — open to feedback and willing to refine BSI's bid process over time Driven by a sense of urgency — moves bids and paperwork forward against firm deadlines Curious — digs into new procurement channels, agencies, and cooperative opportunities Able to prioritize and execute — juggles competing deadlines across multiple active bids Able to understand technical equipment and specifications — translates vehicle specs from suppliers into compliant, accurate bid submissions Responsibilities Identify and monitor new government and cooperative contract opportunities (bid boards, RFPs, ITBs, and renewals) Prepare, assemble, and submit complete, compliant bid and proposal packages within required deadlines Work directly with supplier partners (including Forest River Bus/Starcraft and PrimeTime Specialty Vehicles) to gather specs, pricing, and certifications needed for bids Work directly with component suppliers to negotiate the best possible contract pricing and terms Maintain and grow BSI's standing on cooperative purchasing agreements (EPC, OPC, META) and the Ohio state transit contract Maintain SAM.gov registration and other required government contracting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely renewals Track contract and bid deadlines, renewal dates, and compliance requirements across all active and prospective agreements Ensure compliance with state and federal procurement requirements, including dealer licensing and manufacturer certifications as applicable Collaborate with the Sales team to align bid pursuits with territory and account strategy Maintain accurate contract and opportunity records in Salesforce Build and maintain relationships with government and cooperative procurement contacts Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field 2-5 years of professional experience in a related field Government contract experience Bid writing experience Required Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate bid opportunities for fit and profitability Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Salesforce or related CRM software Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to read and interpret technical vehicle specifications and equipment requirements Preferred Skills & Experience Familiarity with AI tools for bid writing and proposal design Automotive knowledge — vehicle specs, upfitting, or chassis/body construction — a strong plus Experience with cooperative purchasing programs (e.g., Sourcewell, OMNIA, or similar) a plus Compensation & Benefits Annual On-Target Earnings of $70,000 to $90,000 Medical Insurance & First-Dollar Benefit, 100% Company-Paid Premiums for Employees 401K Match Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Fully Onsite Role at the Canal Winchester location
