Garnishment Specialist —
Temporary Contract Location:
Sugar Land, TX Type:
Temporary Contract | Minimum 3 Months About the Opportunity A well-established organization in the Sugar Land area is seeking an experienced Garnishment Specialist for a temporary assignment of at least 3 months. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role for someone with strong hands-on experience processing wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other wage attachments. The ideal candidate can step in quickly, work independently, and ensure every order is processed accurately and on time. Responsibilities Process wage attachments, including child support, creditor garnishments, tax levies, student loans, and bankruptcy orders Review court orders and agency notices for validity, priority, and compliance Calculate deductions accurately according to federal CCPA and applicable state requirements Set up, update, and release garnishments in ADP Vantage Meet strict deadlines for time-sensitive orders and employer responses Remit payments accurately and on time to courts, agencies, and state disbursement units Complete employer response forms and manage correspondence with courts, agencies, and employees Maintain accurate, organized, audit-ready garnishment records Partner with payroll and HR to research and resolve discrepancies Requirements Hands-on experience processing wage garnishments and child support orders Experience handling multistate garnishments and state-specific requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to commit to a minimum 3-month assignment Preferred Experience with ADP Vantage Background in payroll, HR compliance, or legal/court document processing Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment How to Apply Apply through LinkedIn.
