Aventura, FL Job Responsibilities:
All functions and duties associated with properly managing the operations of the school and including but not limited to.
  • Opening and operating the school according to the policies and procedures of TALK Schools;
  • Promot­ing and maintaining an atmo­sphere conducive to a pleasant work environment for employees and a pleasant study environment for students;
  • Function as the liaison between TALK and the building landlord;
  • Developing and im­plementing customer service and public relation/promotional activities that will result in growth at the school from the local direct market;
  • Overseeing Special packages, including, but not limited to, tuition all-inclusive, groups and special programs;
  • Manage the academic delivery of all programs ensuring quality and TALK academic policies;
  • Keeping informed as Designated School Official of regulatory requirements and policies and ensuring that the school is in compliance and following related TALK procedures;
  • Manage all aspects of the school budget, expenses and onsite sales to ensure proper expense management and revenue growth;
  • All other functions and duties as assigned by supervisor and that promote the business and goodwill of TALK and subsidiaries.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Courses in business management, cross-cultural awareness, counseling, and TESOL preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of program, school and/or employee management experience preferred. Experience managing training, supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and evaluating personnel, budgets and marketing is highly preferred;
  • Experience teaching preferred;
TESOL/TEFL/CELTA
certification preferred but not required;
  • Service oriented, having the ability to relate well to a wide range of cultural groups, and be willing and capable of promoting TALK to prospective and current clients;
  • Goal-oriented, a hands-on manager, and able to identify the need for, and initiate, action plans to continuously improve the services provided;
  • Cross-cultural and international experience and experience in sales and fiscal management;
  • At least one foreign language at the advanced level is highly desirable.
