The Acquisition Integration & Corporate Development role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution. Every acquisition creates a gap between the deal model and the work required to make that model a reality. This role is responsible for closing that gap-turning deal assumptions into actionable integration plans, ensuring synergies have clear ownership and accountability, and connecting individual workstreams into a cohesive plan that delivers results. Valeris has been built through acquisitions, and this role will play a central part in shaping the company's next chapter of growth. The initial focus will be supporting the completion of the PharmaCord-Mercalis integration while building a repeatable integration playbook for future transactions. As Valeris evaluates new acquisitions, this role will help assess integration complexity, cost, timing, organizational requirements, and synergy potential before signing, then carry those plans through execution after close. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Strategic Finance, Corporate Development & Treasury , with significant exposure to senior leadership. The role will partner closely with functional and business leaders to drive decisions, resolve roadblocks, and maintain accountability across the integration. The work will be consulting grade in its rigor and strategic orientation, with the unique opportunity to stay close to execution and see the work translate into measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities What you bring Structured, pragmatic problem solver. You can look across multiple workstreams, distinguish activity from actual progress, and identify the issues, dependencies, and decisions that determine whether an integration is truly on track. Strong execution orientation. You turn ambiguous discussions into clear decisions, accountable owners, defined milestones, and dates-and follow through to ensure commitments become outcomes. Analytical rigor with sound judgment. You use data, trackers, and reporting as evidence to understand what is happening, while applying judgment to what the data does not tell you. You are comfortable pressure-testing assumptions, identifying trade-offs, and challenging the plan when necessary. Executive communication skills. You can distill complex situations into a clear narrative for senior leaders: what happened, what matters, what is at risk, and what decision or action is needed next. Cross-functional influence. You are comfortable working across functions and with senior leaders without direct authority. You know how to build alignment, surface difficult issues, and drive accountability when priorities or incentives differ. M&A and integration mindset. You understand that successful integration starts before close. You can translate a deal thesis into an executable integration blueprint and evaluate whether the organization has the capacity, resources, technology, talent, and time required to deliver it. AI-native approach to work. You actively use AI to improve analysis, automate repeatable workflows, and increase leverage. You understand when to use different AI tools or models, build reusable workflows and agents where appropriate, and maintain a high standard for validating outputs before they inform business decisions. High ownership and low ego. You are willing to move between strategy and details, do the work required to get to the answer, and stay engaged through execution rather than handing off a recommendation and moving on.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience 3-6 years in management consulting, corporate development, transaction advisory, investment banking, FP&A, audit or accounting, integration management, or another analytically-rigorous and communication-focused role. BA or BS in a relevant field. An MBA, CPA, or CFA helps but is not required. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. You build the analysis, show your work, and explain what must be true for the conclusion to hold. Healthcare, life sciences or PE-backed experience is helpful, not required. Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy. Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Why Work for Valeris?
