Job Description

Program Manager (Residential & Day Training Services) About the Role Are you an experienced leader in the IDD field ready to make a direct, meaningful impact on people's lives? As our Program Manager, you will champion the daily operations of our residential and day training services. You will lead a dedicated team, empower Family Home Providers (FHP), and expand our services so more individuals receive the high-quality care they deserve. Reporting directly to the Life Works Director, this is an exempt, leadership-level role where your strategic oversight directly translates into safer, happier, and more fulfilling environments for our participants. Your Impact & Core Responsibilities Instead of just checking boxes, you will own the success of your branch by focusing on four key pillars:
Champion Quality & Compliance:
Oversee agency Home Approvals for new FHP sites. Partner with the DDID Quality Administrator to ensure all homes meet pristine regulatory standards before participants move in.
Lead & Develop Talent:
Recruit, train, and mentor independent contractors and branch employees. Deliver impactful training that elevates team performance and service quality.
Drive Strategic Growth:
Actively pursue participant referrals to expand our branch's reach and impact. Review weekly billing entries every Monday to ensure seamless agency and regulatory compliance.
Build Strong Communities:
Foster collaboration with families, guardians, case managers, and transportation providers. Act as a trusted problem-solver and conduct incident investigations with the highest level of integrity. What You Bring (Requirements) We are looking for a reliable, highly organized supervisor who communicates with empathy and acts with authority.
Experience:
2+ years of supervisory experience (ideally within the IDD field).
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
Alternative:
A High School Diploma/GED combined with 2+ years of hands-on IDD experience.
Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to document accurately and guide families through complex regulatory steps.
Logistics:
A valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance. Ability to physically perform all daily operational duties.
Adaptability:
A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality. You understand all roles in the branch and are willing to step in when needed to support your team.
Why You'll Love Working With Us Leadership Autonomy:
Shape, build, and grow your assigned branch with a direct line of support from the Life Works Director.
Mission-Driven Work:
Every decision you make directly improves the daily lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Professional Growth:
Manage both internal employees and independent contractors.
