As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Strategic Development ensures alignment and growth of Community Care of Lower Cape Fear's mission to improve the health of the communities we serve. The Director will utilize their knowledge of healthcare delivery and their thought leadership, as well as leverage healthcare market insights and strategic vision to evaluate and develop new growth opportunities, providing thoughtful, data-driven business recommendations in support of value-based contracting and sustainable organizational revenue growth. This home-based position will require some in-person onsite and offsite attendance of meetings and events locally as well as other locations within the state of North Carolina. What You'll Do As the Director of Strategic Development, you will: Lead the development, implementation, coordination, and expansion of CCLCF's overall strategy for clinical integration and payer relationship development and collaborate with CFO to design advanced payment modeling that aligns with the growth strategy for the organization. Drive end-to-end revenue generation planning through development and execution of a business development strategy that prioritizes financial growth and positive client relationships, aids in shaping broader organizational strategy through market insights and business intelligence, and algins sales, marketing, and clinical teams to maximize market expansion. Spearhead strategic revenue planning initiatives to unlock scalable and predictable growth opportunities across existing and new business relationships that build and maintain positive, trustworthy, connections across health care systems, community organizations, local and state governments, diverse groups of payer partners, and the CCLCF Board. Provide strategic support for a wide range of value-based contracting and organizational planning efforts. Provide business insight into implications of findings, create sustainable roadmaps for grant funded programs and recommend opportunities for improvement. Partner with the data team to assess data insights and create actions and recommendations for clients and company growth. Review and negotiate payer contracts and terms and analyze proposals to ensure consistency with strategic objectives. Manage complex programmatic initiatives and make recommendations to senior leadership about the implications of program and market development investments. Make recommendations to senior leadership regarding the risk mitigation and operational implications of program, market development and value=based investments. Craft and maintain the organizational narrative to support the brand, marketing and grant/proposal applications ensuring a unified message that highlights both business innovation and community benefit. Develop and manage a customer relationship management system. Perform other job duties as assigned. Experience and Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge in a field related to the job such as accounting, marketing, business administration, healthcare, etc. 5+ years of experience in business development, community engagement and relationship building and/or a related field within health and human services, preferably in North Carolina. Expertise in market dynamics, business strategy, and client relationship management in health and human services sectors with an ability to craft compelling business solutions to complex problems. Demonstrated understanding of health-related social needs/social determinants of health and their impact on health plans, the health care system and health care outcomes. Proven experience in health literacy and sensitivity to diversity of cultures, language barriers and education levels. Experience with RFPs, proposals, contracts and agreements. Equivalent experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job may be substituted for a degree. Skills & Qualifications Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Demonstrated interpersonal communication, negotiation, and networking skills, focusing on building long-term partnerships, project management, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals. Knowledge of CRM software, market analysis tools, and business development platforms. Valid NC Driver License, reliable transportation and auto insurance. Must have received or be willing to receive the influenza vaccination by date of hire (during flu season only) to be considered. Proof of vaccination is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working collaboratively and building relationships with healthcare and public health organizations as well as local and state government in North Carolina.
