Job Description

Dispatch Supervisor is a highly organized, multitasker and excellent communicator. This position will be responsible for daily dispatching while keeping accurate billing/driver/truck files/records as per the DOT. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and on-time deliveries while being the main point of contact with our customers. The Dispatch Supervisor will have strong situational awareness, able to work with timelines and deadlines, manage driver team schedules and have an understanding of trucking and port operations, able to motivate and take charge while promoting a culture of safe driving and equality. Salary is negotiable with Dispatch experience.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma
  • Experience as dispatcher or relevant position preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of trucking & port operations, delivery routes and industry regulations preferred but no required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and able to multitask in fast-paced environment a must.
  • Problem solving mindset and able to make quick decisions while dealing w/ various constraints.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, documentation, and expirations.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets, word documents, GPS software and other relevant tools for efficient scheduling, tracking and record keeping.
  • Continuing knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
