They manage real-time logistics, prioritize calls based on safety and urgency, and direct field teams to perform towing, roadside assistance, and vehicle recovery operations.
Core Responsibilities Call Intake & Triage:
Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls from drivers, law enforcement, and motor clubs (e.g., AAA). Assess location, vehicle condition, and driver safety.
Fleet Routing & Scheduling:
Dispatch appropriate tow trucks (flatbed, wheel-lift, heavy-duty) using GPS tracking and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software to optimize response times.
Customer Communication:
Provide accurate Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs), cost estimates, and clear instructions to drivers waiting in high-risk locations.
Field Operator Coordination:
Relay accurate location details, vehicle specifics, and hazard alerts to drivers while monitoring their progress and safety.
Data & Inventory Tracking:
Log service details, payment processing, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), and impound records in accordance with local regulations.
Key Qualifications & Skills Experience:
High school diploma/GED required; 1-2 years of dispatch, call center, or logistics experience preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with CAD software, GPS mapping tools, multi-line phone systems, and basic payment processing.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional calm under pressure, strong spatial/geographic awareness, active listening, and conflict de-escalation.
Schedule Flexibility:
